Third Post: Magazine Cover- Part 2

For the magazine cover I've decided to go with either one of these designs.

1. 2.

In image #1 the masthead will be displayed on the top of the cover with the use of Gotham Medium Font, which is normally used for magazines such as "Discovery." The image will be covering the whole page, but may not be covering the masthead so readers are able to read the logo. The cover lines are going to be in the right side of the magazine in a smaller text size, and try as much as possible to not deviate the focus from the main image. The date and price will be incorporated in the bottom of the cover.
Depending on what image I will be using the color of the title will change. As of right now I'm thinking of using white for the title, and for the cover lines I'll use red so they pop out a little. Since the magazine is of a scientific genre I want it to be serious, but also appealing to the eyes of the public.

In image #2 the masthead will be displayed under the cover lines. The difference between this layout and the previous one is that the image being used will be more engaging (or at least I think it will be) and helps seclude the other articles from the lead article, which will be displayed to the left of the cover. The same way as in the previous design, the date will be incorporated in the bottom of the cover and the font used will be Gotham Medium Font.

More updates coming soon!
